How/Why did you become involved in working/operating pro shops?: As a kid he felt like the bowling balls he had were not proper enough for his hand so it felt like he was doing damage. When he got to college, he realized how important it is for the fit of his equipment to be correct- especially for accuracy.
The kid working in the pro shop was graduating so the shop needed help and Michael offered his services. He learned how to drill and operate a shop. Now, he would never let anyone else drill his bowling balls because he realized how important it is to have your ball fit your hand correctly for ultimate performance.
Martell states, “There is so much to give back to the bowlers- knowledge, taking time to learn what they need as bowler and as a person, gain rapport & relationships with your customers. Everything from lessons, to drilling their equipment, even something as simple as switching out grips. His goal is to teach the bowlers through his experiences to be the best they can be.”
